As part of its Digital Lagos: Broadband for All campaign, MainOne CEO, Funke Opeke was a special guest at “The Morning Show” of Arise News on Saturday 25th May, 2019 to discuss the company’s planned ₦25 billion investment in broadband infrastructure in Lagos and how it will reshape the state to a Smart City. She also shared her perspective on the status of broadband infrastructure in Nigeria and the challenges inhibiting pervasive broadband penetration in the country.
During the interview, she expanded on the company’s plan to develop critical broadband infrastructure across Lagos State, its impact on various sectors of the economy, the new national broadband plan, among other issues.
