Vice President, Regional Operations for West Africa, MainOne an Equinix Company, Abayomi Adebanjo, was interviewed in the latest Communications Africa Magazine Issue.
In the interview, Adebanjo shed more light on the MainOne Ghana business and its role in stimulating the local market; MDXi Appolonia Data Center; future plans for the market and MainOne Ghana being host of the upcoming AfPIF 2023 in August.
According to him, Ghana is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa and is among the digital leaders in sub-Saharan Africa. “We will be expanding our digital footprint in Ghana by building more data centers, deepening our fibre footprint and delivering more products and services. As an Equinix company, our customers will enjoy access to a network of over 249 data centers in 71 metros and 32 countries. Ghana will become one of the major interconnection hubs for landlocked countries in West Africa such as Burkina Faso, Maili and Niger”, he said.
