MainOne Chief Eexecutive Officer, Funke Opeke was interviewed on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 on Business Morning, a daily breakfast show on Channels Television where she discussed ‘Broadband, Technology and the Nigerian Economy’ with prolific TV presenter, Boason Omofaye.
Speaking on the theme ‘Broadening the broadband business in Nigeria’, she highlighted the current broadband landscape in Nigeria, the National Broadband Plan and target of 30% fixed broadband penetration by the end 2018, the constraints hindering attainment of the plan as well as the need to deploy more digital technology and broadband to enable various sectors of the economy.
Expounding on MainOne’s role in revitalizing Nigeria’s business environment, Ms. Opeke shared the compnay’s achievements in Yaba, Lagos and its plans to recreate such ecosystems across Katsina, Yobe, Aba and other parts of Nigeria.
